An EPA survey of RADON LEVELS IN SCHOOLS estimates that nearly one in five has at least one classroom with a radon level above the recommended 4 pCi/L. This is the level at which the EPA strongly recommends action be taken to reduce occupant exposure.
The only way to determine if YOUR SCHOOL has a radon problem is to test the classrooms.
Proper radon testing according to EPA or State guidelines is something that we do at Precise Radon Testing.
DAYCARE CENTER'S are also at risk. Any facility that your child is attending on a regular basis should be tested.
There does not need to be a lower level in the school to test. All ground level classrooms should be tested.
